When adding the headers and footers in a Word document, they are the same on each page by default. If you are working on a regular report, you may not need to create different headers and footers on different pages. However, if you are working on reports similar to booklets, you may want the headers and footers different on Even and Odd Pages.
Step 1: Click the "Insert" tab from the Ribbon;
Step 2: Click the "Header" (or "Footer") command from the "Header&Footer" section;
Step 3: Select one style from the drop-down list (e.g., the Austin style);
Step 4: In the "Header & Footer" tab (or the "Design" tab in a different Excel version) from the ribbon, check the "Different Odd & Even Pages" command;
Step 5: You will find that the headers (or footers) you selected in step 3 are only on Odd pages;
Step 6: Double click the header (or footer) on any Even pages that have no header (or footer), and repeat step 1 to 3 above to insert header (or footer) on even pages.
Now the header and footer on even and odd pages are different.
