Asom Divas, also Sukapha, is a regional holiday in the state of Assam, India, and it is observed on December 2 each year.
Asom Divas celebrates the first Ahom King Sukaphaa, who established the Ahom kingdom in 1228 and reigned from 1228 to 1268 AD. The Ahom Kingdom existed for nearly six hundred years from 1228 to 1826.
