How to Add a Website to Bing Webmaster

Bing webmaster is a tool allowing webmasters to add their websites to the Bing index, so to attract more traffic. If you want to add your site to the Bing webmaster, please follow the steps below:

Part I: Verify Ownership

Step 1: Sign in Bing webmaster, or to create a new account by clicking "Sign up";

Step 2: Click "Add a site" from the left navigation;

Step 3; Enter your site URL address (e.g., excelnotes.com) in the URL box, and enter your sitemap URL to the second box. Click "Add" at the bottom;

Step 4: You can select one of the 3 options to verify the ownership.

Option 1: Place an XML file on your web server;

Option 2: Copy and paste atag in your default webpage;

Option 3: Add CNAME record to DNS;

Step 5: Click "Verify" at the bottom.

Part II: Add Verification Code to Site

If you have Yoast SEO plugin installed in your site, you can add the verification code with the steps below:

Step 1: Login your site;

Step 2: Click "SEO" from the left navigation;

Step 3: Click "General", then "Webmaster Tools" tab;

Step 4: Copy and paste the code from Bing verification option 2;

Step 5: Click "Save Changes".
