In Excel, you can turn negative numbers to red or add parentheses to make them much easier to read. Please see the steps below for details:
Step 1: Select the cell or range with numbers;
Step 2: Right click to bring up the dialog box, from the list, click "Format Cells";
Step 3: In the "Format Cells" window, select RED color under Negative Numbers section;
Step 4: Click "OK" at the bottom: negative numbers turned into RED, while positive numbers did not change.
Please note that the negative sign is gone even they are negative numbers!
Step 5: If you need to turn the negative numbers into RED, also the negative sign, please select the option below.
