In Excel or any other Microsoft products, you can insert many shapes into a worksheet. However, there are situations that you may need to draw a freeform shape. Please see below for details:
Step 1: Open an Excel file (or any Microsoft product) and move your cursor to any cell;
Step 2: Click the "Insert" tab from the ribbon;
Step 3: Click "Shapes" in the "Illustrations" section (this is Excel 2019 and after, please click "Shapes" directly in the "Illustrations" section if you have an earlier version);
Step 4: Click the "Freeform Shape" if you need to draw a shape with straight lines or the "Freeform Scribble" if you want to draw randomly.
After you complete the drawing, you can always edit it by checking How to Edit a Shape in Excel.
