Tendong Lho Rum Faat is a regional holiday in the state of Sikkim, India, and it is celebrated cross three days in the 3rd month of the Tibetan Lunar Calendar, usually August in the Gregorian calendar.
According to the legend, the Lepcha people went atop the Tendong Mountain for 40 days and 40 nights to escape from the great deluge which flooded the entire Mayel Lyang country, which is now known as Sikkim.
