How to Use ACOTH Function

The ACOTH function returns the inverse hyperbolic cotangent of a number.

Formula:

=ACOTH(number)

Explanations:

The number is required, the number with an absolute value greater than 1.

Cautions:

– The result returns the #NUM! error value when the number is less than 1.

– The ACOTH function applies to Excel 2016, Excel 2013, Excel 2016 for Mac, Excel 2011 for Mac.

Example 1: When the number is less than -1, the function returns a negative value;

Example 2: When the number is greater than 1, the function returns a positive value;

Example 3: When the number from -1 to 1, the function returns an error.
