If you track changes while you work on a word file, it will be very easy to identify where you have changed after. However, if you did not track changes, and later you want to know where you have changed, or in another situation that someone else made changes to the file, how would you know the changes? Please see below for details:
Step 1: Click the "Review" tab from the ribbon;
Step 2: Click "Compare" and then select "Compare" from the drop-down list;
Step 3: In the new window, browse to find the original file in the first box, and browse to find the changed file in the second box. You can always switch the two files by clicking the arrows in the middle;
Step 4: Click "OK" and you may get the following message if one or two of the files contain tracked changes, click "Yes" if you get the message;
Step 5: You will have 3 columns, from right to left the original file, the compared file, and the changes.
