If you are tired of your children playing games or watching videos on a website, you can block it so your children will never access them again. This will change the "Hosts" file, so always be careful and not to change other parts. Please see below the steps:
Step 1: type the word of "notepad" in the search box, and right click on the "notepad". Select "Run as administrator" from the drop down list;
Step 2: Click "Yes" in the next window to allow the app making changes, and this will open a new notepad file;
Step 3: In the notepad, click "File>>Open";
Step 4: Follow the patch "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc" to open the "etc" folder. The folder looks empty, and files will appear when you select "All Files" from the right bottom corner;
Step 5: Double click "Hosts" from the file list to open it;
Step 6: At the end of the file, type "127.0.0.1 www.example.com" and save the file.
- If you want to block multiple websites, you will need to enter row by row, and each row stands for a website you want to block. For example:
127.0.0.1 www.youtube.com
127.0.0.1 www.games.com
- If you changed mind later and want to change back, please follow the same steps above and remove the rows you added.
