He lived as a soldier\, farmer\, judge\, and family man before\, at the age of 50\, choosing a spiritual life of solitude. With his wife's consent\, he left his family to live as a hermit in the Ranft valley\, where he became a spiritual advisor to both peasants and political leaders. \nHe is best known for his crucial role in mediating the conflict among Swiss cantons in 1481\, helping to prevent a civil war and ensuring the continued unity of the Swiss Confederation. This intervention led to the Stanser Verkommnis\, a pivotal agreement in Swiss history. \nHe was beatified in 1669 by Pope Clement IX\, canonized in 1947 by Pope Pius XII\, and declared patron saint of Switzerland in 1947. \nThe Catholic Church commemorates his feast day on March 21\, the date of his death in 1487. However\, in Obwalden\, his home canton\, the local holiday is celebrated on September 25. This date honors the importance of Brother Klaus (as he is affectionately known) in Swiss cultural and religious life.

During a youth rally held that year\, Dr. Fulford made a passionate appeal to the government\, urging them to move beyond symbolic gestures and formally recognize the contributions and potential of the country's young people. \nAt that time\, youth made up about 80% of the population\, and yet there was no dedicated Department of Youth or National Youth Council. Dr. Fulford's call to action challenged the leadership to invest meaningfully in the development and recognition of youth\, including the creation of platforms and institutions that would support their growth. \nAs a result of this push\, National Youth Day was proclaimed\, and it has since been observed annually on the last Friday of September. The day celebrates the value\, energy\, and promise of TCI's youth and serves as a reminder of the essential role young people play in the nation's present and future.

Confucius promoted moral integrity\, lifelong learning\, and a hierarchical but respectful teacher-student relationship. \nIn 1939\, during the Republican era in mainland China\, the Republic of China (ROC) government officially designated September 28 as Teacher's Day to honor Confucius's birthday. \nWhen the ROC government relocated to Taiwan in 1949 following the Chinese Civil War\, it retained Confucian traditions\, including Teacher's Day on September 28. \nDuring the authoritarian era (1949–1987)\, Confucianism was promoted as a moral and cultural foundation to support order and education. \nTeacher's Day was institutionalized in schools\, public events\, and ceremonies\, reinforcing the idea that teachers are moral guides and nation-builders.

Birthday? \nThe King's Birthday (or Queen's Birthday when the reigning monarch is female) has been celebrated in Australia for over two centuries. The holiday dates back to the British tradition of honoring the sovereign's birthday\, regardless of their actual birth date. \nThe practice of officially celebrating the monarch's birthday began with King George II in 1748. Since British monarchs often had birthdays in months with poor weather\, they established an official birthday celebration in summer\, separate from their actual birth date. \nThe holiday has been observed since the early 19th century\, with colonial governors officially marking the day. The date has changed over time depending on the reigning monarch's actual birthday. \nQueen Victoria (1819-1901): The holiday was widely observed in Australian colonies in honor of Queen Victoria. \nKing Edward VII (1901-1910): His birthday fell on November 9\, but the public holiday remained in June. \nKing George V (1910-1936): Set the tradition of celebrating the monarch's birthday on a fixed date in June\, which continued for most subsequent rulers. \nKing George VI (1936-1952) and Queen Elizabeth II (1952-2022): The holiday remained in June even though their birthdays were in December (George VI) and April (Elizabeth II). \nKing Charles III (2022 – present): His actual birthday is November 14\, but Australia continues to celebrate the holiday in June. \nThe holiday now remains a public holiday in most states and territories in June. \n \nWhat Do People Do on This Day?\nThe King's Birthday in Australia is a public holiday in most states and territories\, giving many Australians a day off to relax and take part in various celebrations. \nThe Australian Government releases the King's Birthday Honours List\, recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions in areas such as community service\, business\, sports\, and the arts. Some cities hold ceremonial events\, including military parades\, gun salutes\, and flag-raising ceremonies to honor the monarchy. \nMajor sporting events are held on this long weekend\, especially in Victoria and New South Wales. Some areas host fireworks displays and community fairs\, although they are less common than on other public holidays. \nSince the holiday falls in June (winter in Australia)\, many people take advantage of the long weekend to go on short trips or have family gatherings. \nMore about King Charles III\nKing Charles III is the King of the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms\, including Australia\, Canada\, and New Zealand. He is the longest-serving heir apparent in British history\, having waited 70 years to ascend to the throne after the reign of his mother\, Queen Elizabeth II. \nHe was born on November 14\, 1948 in London\, England\, and his reign began on September 8\, 2022 following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. His Coronation was held on May 6\, 2023. \nAs King\, Charles III remains Australia's Head of State under the constitutional monarchy system. \nIn his first marriage (1981-1996)\, he married Princess Diana\, with whom he had Prince William and Prince Harry. In his second marriage (2005-present)\, he married Camilla Parker Bowles\, now Queen Camilla. \nKing Charles III has modernized the monarchy\, emphasizing climate action and charity work. His reign is expected to focus on environmental policies\, and continuity of tradition while addressing calls for change in Commonwealth nations.

Its history is tied to the broader history of the Kelantan Sultanate\, one of the oldest and most respected royal houses in Malaysia. \nThe Kelantan Sultanate has its roots in the 13th century\, with a lineage tracing back to early Malay rulers and later Islamic influence. The monarchy has been central to Kelantanese identity\, governance\, and culture for centuries. \nDuring the colonial period under British influence in 19th and early 20th centuries\, the Sultan's authority was maintained as the head of state\, though some administrative powers were shared with the British. \nAfter Malaysia gained independence from British rule\, the Sultanate continued as a constitutional monarchy within Kelantan. \nThe formal celebration of the Sultan's birthday likely began in the early 20th century\, during the transition from local monarchies to modern Malaysian states. The birthday celebrations grew in significance\, symbolizing Kelantan's unique identity within Malaysia. \nThe Sultan of Kelantan's birthday is specific to the reigning Sultan and often aligned with his actual birth date or another officially designated date. \n \nWhat Do People Do on This Day?\nThe Sultan of Kelantan's Birthday is celebrated with a mix of official\, cultural and community activities that honor the Sultan and highlight Kelantan's rich heritage. \nThe Sultan often presides over a formal event at the royal palace or a designated venue. Citizens and dignitaries who have made significant contributions to the state are conferred awards and titles by the Sultan. \nSpecial Islamic prayers are offered in mosques across Kelantan\, seeking blessings for the Sultan's health and reign. \nPeople may engage in acts of charity\, reflecting Islamic values of generosity and compassion. \nTraditional music\, dance and parades featuring Kelantanese cultural elements are organized\, and cultural exhibitions showcasing Kelantan's crafts are held. \nPublic spaces\, homes and government buildings are decorated with flags and lights to mark the occasion. \nFor many people\, the Sultan's birthday is a time to relax and spend quality time with family and friends. Some may use the day off to visit local attractions or enjoy traditional Kelantanese cuisine. \nSultan of Kelantan\nThe Sultan of Kelantan is the constitutional monarch and head of state of the Malaysian state of Kelantan. \nThe Kelantan Sultanate has a long history\, with its origins dating back to the 13th century. The Kelantan royal family follows a hereditary system\, with the throne passed down through male descendants. The current Sultan of Kelantan is Sultan Muhammad V\, who has gained national and international recognition for his leadership and as a former Yang di-Pertuan Agong. \nSultan Muhammad V was born on October 6\, 1969 as Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra\, and he was proclaimed the Crown Prince of Kelantan in 1985. Ascended to the throne on September 13\, 2010\, following the abdication of his father\, Sultan Ismail Petra. \nHe served as Malaysia's 15th King from 2016 to 2019\, becoming the first ruler from Kelantan to hold the position. He abdicated as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in 2019\, a rare occurrence in Malaysian history\, but continued his reign as Sultan of Kelantan. \nSultan Muhammad V is deeply religious and actively participates in Islamic events. He is known for his simple lifestyle and approachability.
