Ctrl+Shift+Down Arrow: Extend to Last Nonblank Cell in the Column

The shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Down Arrow is to extend the column selection to the last nonblank cell, or to the next nonblank cell if the next cell is blank.

1. Extend the selection to the first nonblank cell in the same column: When the cursor is above the data range, the shortcut will select the cells to the first nonblank cell in the worksheet.

Step 1: Click anywhere in the worksheet, e.g., cell B1;

Step 2: Press and hold the "Ctrl" key and the "Shift" key, then press the "Down Arrow" key.

2. Extend the selection to the next nonblank cell: When the cursor is in the data range, the shortcut will select to the bottom edge of the data range.

Step 1: Click anywhere in the worksheet, e.g., cell B3;

Step 2: Press and hold the "Ctrl" key and the "Shift" key, then press the "Down Arrow" key.
