The shortcut Ctrl+Enter is to fill the selected cell range with the current entry.
Step 1: Select the data range;
Step 2: Type the contents (e.g., SMITH) in the first cell;
Step 3: Press and hold the "Ctrl" key, and press the "Enter" key. All the rest cells are now with the data entry (SMITH).
