Ctrl+S: Save a Workbook

The shortcut Ctrl+S is one of the most used worksheet shortcuts. It will save a workbook. If you saved the work before, the new contents after last saving will be saved directly. If you did not save this work yet, the "Save As" window will appear for you to select a saving directory.

Step 1: Click any cell in the worksheet;

Step 2: Press and hold the "Ctrl" key, and press the letter "S" from the keyboard;

If this is a new file, this will bring you the "Save As" window.

Step 3: Browse the location and save the file. If the file is saved before, the file will save when you press the shortcut "Ctrl+S".
